The main objectives of our research activities relate to the development of solutions for modelling and describing complex technical systems with their properties and behavior as well as for the integration and optimization of IT processes for cross-domain and interdisciplinary information management in the product life cycle. This includes digital twin concepts as well as systems engineering methods and tools, engineering assistance systems and methods for extended user interaction (mixed reality) in different application contexts. A particular focus is on research into AI-driven technologies and approaches for design automation and generative engineering in the context of advanced product development processes and next generation CAD tools.
